The Fram stream flows over a dark rock face, reached by a forest path, steps and a wooden bridge.

Skalca Waterfall, also known as Fram Waterfall, lies in a forest on the eastern slopes of Pohorje, near the road between Areh and Bellevue. The Fram stream tumbles over a dark rock face, spreading into a distinctive fan-shaped cascade. The waterfall is protected as a hydrological and geomorphological natural monument.

The Fram stream rises from several springs on the slopes of Pohorje before flowing towards Fram and the Drava Plain. Its waters once powered mills, sawmills, forges and oil mills, which played an important role in the valley's economy. The waterfall usually carries the most water in spring, during snowmelt, and in autumn after heavy rainfall. In cold winters, it can freeze.

A short forest path descends from the nearby road junction towards the waterfall. Wooden steps, a footbridge and sections with safety cables provide close-up views of the cascading water. The path can be slippery in wet weather. Skalca can also be reached by hiking routes from Mariborska koča mountain hut, making it a stop on longer walks through Pohorje.
