E2RD Gallery on Gosposka Street in central Maribor brings together a jewellery design studio, a boutique and a contemporary art space. It is run by designer Bojana Kovačič Zemljič, whose E2RD label is known for distinctive original collections. Alongside her own work, the gallery presents pieces by other artists and creatives.
E2RD jewellery is shaped by considered forms, colours and unconventional materials. Some designs use recycled plastic to evoke coral, while other collections draw on Slovenian cultural heritage. The Venera collection takes inspiration from traditional Idrija lace, and the Ginkgo collection interprets the distinctive shape of the ginkgo leaf.
Kovačič Zemljič's work has also appeared on screen: actor Zoe Saldaña wore E2RD jewellery in the film Nina (2016). The gallery takes part in Maribor's contemporary art scene, including Maribor Art Walk. It offers a direct connection to the city's independent designers and artists, combining an active creative studio with a place to encounter and purchase original work.
