GT22 at Glavni trg 22 is an independent creative hub in central Maribor, bringing together artists, associations and cultural groups since 2013. Former warehouse and industrial spaces, once also used as a nightclub, have become a setting for contemporary art, learning and experimentation. Its programme is developed collaboratively and changes throughout the year.
Key spaces include the Intimate Stage for theatre performances, the Intimate Cinema and the avlaGT22 exhibition space. The building also houses the Modrinjak Photography Museum, the Mišnica photographic darkroom and other creative initiatives. Activities span performing arts, film, photography and printmaking.
GT22 hosts performances, film screenings, exhibitions, talks and workshops, connecting local and visiting artists. Its location in Maribor's old town adds a contemporary cultural dimension to Main Square. Access follows the programme of events or is arranged in advance.
