April Jewellery Studio on Vetrinjska Street in Maribor's old town is the working studio and shop of jewellery designer Nataša Grandovec. She creates pieces by hand using silver, gold and natural semi-precious stones. Her designs draw on small forms and textures found in nature, including flowers, leaves, seeds and birds.
Her work brings together traditional goldsmithing and contemporary design, using techniques such as enamelling, casting and metal shaping. The collection includes brooches, pendants, rings, bracelets and earrings, alongside pieces made to order. Jewellery here is both something to wear and a form of artistic expression.
Grandovec designed the crown for Maribor's Wine Queen and has exhibited in Slovenia and abroad. Her exhibition Urban Nature: Maribor in Jewellery explored the city through wearable designs. The studio connects Maribor's creative scene with original jewellery and the natural world that inspires it.
