A circular walk through Studenci Forest explores local trees, timber and life beside the Drava.

Lesarska Forest Educational Trail is a circular walking route through Studenci Forest on the right bank of the Drava River in Maribor. The two-kilometre trail starts at the Maribor Woodworking School and crosses the flat terrain of a mixed lowland forest. It was developed by the school and the Studenci Tourist Association to introduce the forest environment to school groups, local residents and visitors.

Along the route, 14 information boards introduce different tree species, their characteristics and the importance of wood. Topics include oak, spruce, beech, lime and hornbeam trees, as well as wood pests, sustainable timber use and measuring tree height. After a shared opening section, the trail divides into shorter and longer routes that later rejoin.

A distinctive feature is its setting in Studenci Forest beside the Drava, with views across the river towards the Kozjak Hills. The forest lies within the Maribor Lake Landscape Park and is crossed by walking and cycling paths. The easy trail suits families, school groups and anyone interested in forests, trees and wood.
