Bolfenk Energy Trail is a themed circular walk through the forests of Mariborsko Pohorje, designed for quiet reflection and relaxation in nature. The trail begins in woodland beside the Wellness & Spa Hotel Bolfenk, near the upper Pohorje cable car station. Established in 2009, its concept is based on research by biotherapist Tomislav Brumec.
The route connects seven marked energy points, each associated with one of the body's seven energy centres, or chakras, in traditional energy practices. Visitors typically pause for five to ten minutes at each point to rest, reflect and listen to the sounds of the forest. The complete circuit, including these stops, takes approximately 70 minutes.
Located in the Bolfenk area, more than 1,000 metres above sea level, the trail is surrounded by Pohorje's extensive woodland and nearby walking routes. St Bolfenk Church and Rozka's Forest Educational Trail are also close by. Its distinctive character lies in combining a gentle forest walk with a meditation practice inspired by traditional beliefs about the body's energy centres.
