The longest Ride Ruše route combines steep climbs, gravel roads and Pohorje's forest landscape.

Pohorski drvarji – Ride Ruše is a 52-kilometre circular cycling route through Ruško Pohorje and the longest of the eight marked Ride Ruše routes. Starting in Ruše in the Drava Valley, it climbs into the forested slopes of Pohorje, where paved roads give way to gravel and forest tracks. Reaching an altitude of 1,281 metres, the route takes cyclists through the mountain's extensive woodland.

Its name, meaning Pohorje Woodcutters, reflects the region's forestry heritage. For centuries, the forests supplied timber for sawmills, glassworks and other local industries. The forest roads that now serve cyclists also reflect the long connection between the mountain landscape and the timber trade. Extended climbs and descents add to the route's demanding character.

With 1,600 metres of total ascent, Pohorski drvarji has the greatest elevation gain in the Ride Ruše network. Gravel roads account for 81 per cent of the route, making good fitness and confidence on unpaved surfaces essential. The ride combines endurance cycling, mountain forests and the history of forestry on Pohorje.
