Na Areh – Ride Ruše is a 30-kilometre circular cycling route connecting Ruše in the Drava Valley with the higher slopes of Ruško Pohorje. The route climbs towards Areh, an important outdoor recreation area on Pohorje, following a combination of paved and gravel roads. It is one of eight marked routes in the Ride Ruše network, which brings recreational cycling into the mountain landscape above Ruše.
The main challenge is the climb from approximately 297 to 1,281 metres above sea level. As the route gains height, the surroundings gradually change from the valley to extensive mountain forests and higher terrain. Gravel roads account for around 55 per cent of the ride, with the remaining sections following paved roads.
With 1,008 metres of total ascent, the route is suited to cyclists with good fitness and experience on longer climbs. After reaching the higher slopes of Pohorje, the circular route descends towards Ruše. Its distinctive feature is the transition from the Drava Valley to the mountain landscape of Areh, combining an endurance challenge with cycling through Pohorje's forests.
