The Holiday of the Municipality of Maribor is on 20 October – the day when Maribor was first mentioned in a written document in the year 1164.
On 20 October, we commemorate the day of the first written mention of Maribor. On the occasion of the Holiday of the Municipality of Maribor, we are offering citizens numerous activities under the title: “Day of Maribor – Connecting Citizens and Discovering Our City.”
With the wish to bring our city’s history closer to everyone, through visits to the suburbs and city hills, we are, for the fifth year in a row, organizing many free activities together with cultural institutions and public enterprises – for the citizens of Maribor as well as for visitors.
