In Zlatoličje on the Drava Plain, in the municipality of Starše, Golob Excursion and Tourist Farm is known locally as Pri Luketovih. Established in 1864, the farm has remained in the family for four generations. Pig farming and the production of traditional cured meats are central to its identity, with recipes and preparation methods passed down through the family.
All cured pork products come from pigs born and raised on the farm. The meats are prepared using traditional recipes, without added preservatives, additives or colourings. Specialities include dry-cured salami, grandfather's sausage, Styrian tunka, bunka, pork cracklings and traditional pork spread with pumpkin seeds. Homemade white or pumpkin-seed bread accompanies the cold cuts. Groups can also enjoy stews, roast pork, ribs, suckling pig and Styrian gibanica pastry.
The farm welcomes pre-booked groups for traditional meals, tastings and introductions to its farming heritage. Visitors can learn about the family's meat production and sample the products made on the premises. The experience offers a direct connection to the food traditions and agricultural life of the Drava Plain.
