Excursion Farm Markuš

On the wine-growing hills of Malečnik, around five kilometres from central Maribor, Markuš Excursion Farm is a family estate also known as Vinarstvo in Turizem Markuš or Pri Oskarju. Located along the Maribor Wine Tourist Road, the farm is now run by Matej Markuš, who continues the family's winemaking tradition while developing its wine production.

The kitchen serves homemade food using farm-grown ingredients, including vegetables and meat products. Meals are accompanied by wines from the family's vineyards, particularly Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Yellow Muscat. The combination of traditional food and estate wines is central to the experience. The farm also welcomes private celebrations and group gatherings.

Another part of its story is the development of the Vina Oskar wine brand and a modern facility for grape processing and winemaking. The family is also developing sparkling wines produced according to vegan principles. The estate brings together Styrian farmhouse cooking, family winemaking and new approaches to wine production in the countryside close to Maribor.
