Family wines, skin-contact Welschriesling and Ritoznojčan PTP from the hills above Slovenska Bistrica.

On Ritoznoj above Slovenska Bistrica, on the sunny slopes below Pohorje, Pečovnik-Martinus Winery continues a family winemaking tradition. The Pečovnik family originally came from Pohorje and now cultivates vineyards in an area with centuries of wine history. The estate is run by Jože Pečovnik, with his son Martin also involved. Its wines are stored in a centuries-old cellar.

The vineyards grow on flysch soils, where the local climate and terrain influence the grapes. The range includes Yellow Muscat, Welschriesling, Riesling and Sauvignon. A signature wine is Ritoznojčan PTP, a regional white blend. The winery also produces a Welschriesling and Yellow Muscat cuvée and skin-contact Welschriesling, macerated for at least 28 days before further ageing in wooden barrels.

The name Martinus reflects the family's tradition of passing down the name Martin and its connection to St Martin, the patron saint of winemakers. The winery combines established methods with modern techniques. Visits are possible by prior arrangement, offering an introduction to Ritoznoj's wine heritage.
