Zvonko Mikša, together with his wife Verena, comes from Dornava near Ptuj and is a renowned artisan specializing in handmade crepe paper flowers. They have been practicing this craft for over six years, creating flowers that look remarkably realistic despite being made entirely from crepe paper.
Their craftsmanship has been showcased at various exhibitions and events, where their creativity and exceptional attention to detail have impressed visitors. At the Festival for the Third Age, for example, their handmade bouquets were presented to award recipients and received widespread admiration.
Beyond creating crepe paper flowers, Zvonko and Verena share their knowledge with younger and older generations through workshops held in various locations. They also sell their creations at fairs and other events, helping preserve this traditional craft that is gradually disappearing.
