Exhibition Flavia Mazzanti In Shared Persistence

Flavia Mazzanti's In Shared Persistence explores the interplay of bodies, memory, technology and the environment. Through photography, 3D scanning and laser exposure, the artist connects digitally generated images with the material world. Matter persists.
Tkalka Gallery in Maribor presents the first exhibition in Slovenia by Italian-Brazilian artist Flavia Mazzanti, named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list in 2023. In Shared Persistence explores the entanglement of human and non-human presences and how the body, memory, technology and environment shape our experience of reality. Mazzanti captures objects and spaces through photography, photogrammetry and 3D scanning, translating them into digital environments where they are fragmented and assembled into new visual compositions. She then transfers the digital images onto photographic paper through laser exposure, returning them to the physical realm. Her works blur the boundaries between the organic and the technological, the physical and the virtual, presenting the body as a shifting constellation of matter, data and relations.
