Oplotniščica or Oplotnica is a stream, which with its 28 km length and source from Pohorje, forms a fascinating natural environment. It used to be the only wood supply route from the forests of Pohorje. Over 30 sawmills and mills were situated on the Oplotnica Stream in the past. They were one of the main profitable activities ofthe then population. The area around the stream is rich in flora and the trail allows one to learn and obtain information about life in the past through educational tours and workshops.
