Accessibility Statement
The Maribor Tourist Board is committed to making the website www.visitmaribor.si accessible by the Slovenian Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (Official Gazette of the RS, no. 30/18) and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council. This accessibility statement refers to the website www.visitmaribor.si.
Level of Compliance
This website partially conforms to the level AA success criteria of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, which are published at http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/, due to the following exceptions:
- Video clips do not have captions available, and control management is not optimized as it depends on an external service (e.g., YouTube);
- Some information presented on the map may be inaccessible to screen reader users;
- Some textual content has poor color contrast against the background;
- Some images contain text that is difficult to read due to poor color contrast;
- Some images do not have complete alternative text (ALT);
- Certain content is transferred from social networks (Facebook and Instagram), where accessibility issues may arise (use of English terms, missing alternative text, etc.);
- The website uses the Adobe PDF format for some materials (access to this content is largely possible even without using this format, as the text is presented in HTML format). Due to the large number of PDF documents on the website, there may also be some deviations regarding text accessibility and content.
Preparation of the Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on August 19, 2020. The method used was the self-assessment of the public sector body, as described in the first paragraph of point (a) of Article 3(1) of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1523. The statement was last updated and reviewed on September 15, 2020.
