2nd City Chestnut Picnic
Autumn smells of chestnuts! Join us for a cosy autumn get-together in Lent, where chestnuts, local flavours and good company will take centre stage.
On Saturday, 10 October 2026, between 10.00 and 19.00, Lent will come alive with the 2nd City Chestnut Picnic. You can look forward to a wide selection of roasted and boiled chestnuts, sweet and savoury chestnut dishes, and delicacies made from chestnuts and honey. These autumnal flavours will be complemented by fresh cider and wines from local winemakers.
There will also be plenty on offer for our youngest visitors, who can take part in creative children’s workshops and watch an autumnal puppet show.
