Exceptional Cuban pianist who fills prestigious halls and festivals!

Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez has a story that creates legends: from a boy who practiced on the keyboard drawn on the kitchen table due to lack of access to a piano; through a young man who completed one of the most demanding classical conservatories in Havana; to a teenager who was selected as one of twelve pianists to perform at the jazz festival in Montreux, Switzerland, where he stunned Quincy Jones with his technique, prompting Jones to propose collaboration and immediate relocation to the USA. And lastly: a 20-year-old who followed the advice of his mentor and illegally migrated with just one suitcase, ending up in a Mexican detention center where he managed to persuade a guard of his promising musical future, who then put him in a taxi and even paid for his ride to Texas.
