Colorful and electrifying Afro-futuristic concert!

Actress and singer Fatoumata Diawara can now certainly be counted among the most important African divas. She is undoubtedly considered the first Malian guitarist, and with the lineup she brings to the Lent Festival, we can confidently assert that it is the most powerful performance by a musical group from a continent with over 1.2 billion people.

Just over a decade has passed since her debut album 'Fatou,' and during this time, Diawara has solidified herself as one of the key vocalists of the younger generation of Afropop. Recognitions pour in from all sides: she has performed with Paul McCartney, Bobby Womack, Roberto Fonseca, Oumou Sangare, Damon Albarn (Blur), Dee Dee Bridgewater, as well as with bands like Snarky Puppy, The Roots, Amadou & Mariam, The Gorillaz, and many others.
