The women's vocal group originates from the Academic Folklore Group France Marolt, but it gained wider recognition through collaboration with Magnifico on the album "Od srca do srca" (1993). The members recreate and interpret folk songs from all Slovenian regions as well as from the outskirts of the Slovenian ethnic space – from Rezija, Bela Krajina, Istria, and Prekmurje – which are particularly diverse due to the influence of neighboring cultures.

They also sing contemporary adaptations of folk songs. A significant challenge for them is combining the old with the new, traditional with modern. They have built their recognition through collaborations with well-known names in the music scene (Vlado Kreslin, Zoran Predin, Lauferji, Terrafolk, Aldo Kumar, The Stroj, Dario Marušić, Janez Dovč, Jararaja, and others), pushing musical boundaries with Katica. In their thirty years of activity, they have crossed a fair amount of the world with their singing and have released five albums of folk song adaptations.
