For over 30 years, Vita Mavrič has been performing her original projects, touring both domestically and internationally. She is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and recognitions. Among Slovenian audiences, she has revived interest in chanson and Slovenian musical poetry, elevating the level of word and music. With her dedication, she has certainly outlined the development of chanson in Slovenia as a specific genre of musical theater and left an indelible mark on it.

In the embrace of the Judicial Tower, Vita Mavrič, together with the Akord Quartet, will present an unforgettable ethno-klezmer evening. The collection of joyful yet poignant Jewish klezmer chansons is the result of a selection of numerous historical and perennial melodies that have significantly influenced the development of European musical creation. Precise translations by Klemen Jelinčič, adaptations by Milan Dekleva, and diverse musical treatments are compiled on the album "Almonds and Raisins." We will surrender to them on the festival Wednesday, June 26th.
