Important monument of the Styrian Baroque
Church of Saint Peter was built before our Gothic period and was first mentioned in 1236. The original Church of Saint Peter was actually a pilgrimage church and was later redesigned in Baroque style and the present church took its shape in the 18th century, under the leadership of pastor dr. Janez Sittich.
The interior of the church is in the baroque style with altars, paintings and stucco, which makes the church in Malečnik an important monument of the Styrian baroque as an example of a holistic baroque monument.
