Modern culture among old walls
The Stolp Photo Gallery is the only Slovenian photogallery and is situated in the old defence tower on the Maribor city wall called Židovski Stolp (Jewish Tower). Members of the photography club Fotoklub Maribor prepared a gallery with a photographically documented archive and a permanent exhibition in three storeys of the tower. Every year, around ten exhibitions of local and foreign authors are presented here, including the traditional biennale "Mariborski obrazi" (Faces of Maribor).
